In honor of the release of across the spider-verse, i wanted to talk about why spider-man is my favorite character!

Relatability - He doesn’t have it all figured out and he learns along the way. He also makes mistakes.

Setting - I love the NYC setting and even in Far From Home, it’s great to see Europe. They make the most of it.

Powers - The abilities of a spider don’t seem like something desirable but when you see him swing, you can’t help but want to do it too.

Villains - Bar none, the absolute best and the most like a comic book.

Action - The train scene in Spider-Man 2, The Ferry Scene in Homecoming and the final scene at the Statue of Liberty in No Way Home are just a few examples of the edge of your seat action in each of them.

Duality - The duality between Peter Parker and Spider-Man has always been intriguing because he has a huge part of himself that he has to hide. It’s also fascinating to see how he brings his superhero strength in his real life.

Last Name (Shameless) - We both share the same last name. Shameless, I know.

Different Mediums - You can find Spider-Man in comics, video games, movies and TV. So many different Spider-Men to experience.

Variety of Spider-Men - Spider-Verse honestly informed me of how many there are, I’m excited for the sequel to introduce even more to me.

Humor - The Tom Holland Spider-Man has always made me laugh. I like how there’s always levity in some way with his version especially.
